Denture Repairs

Even with proper denture care, things can happen. If a tooth comes out or your denture breaks, please don’t attempt to repair it with superglue, you may cause permanent damage to your denture or make it difficult or impossible to repair.

Here at Gulfside Dental we have our own on site denture lab to offer denture repair services usually done the same day:

  • Repair broken dentures
  • Replace loose denture teeth
  • Repair chipped denture teeth
  • Replace missing denture teeth
  • Repair broken clasps in partial dentures
  • Add teeth to partial dentures to replaced extracted natural teeth

If a tooth popped out of your denture, or it broke in half while you were eating or simply biting down, there may be something wrong with the way it fits. We can help you find the root of the problem and make your dentures much more comfortable to wear.

Once a denture breaks, it will never fit the same way again, and you should think about eventually replacing it after the repair.

Dental Relines

The bone and gums in your mouth will continue to change naturally, even when you wear dentures. Fluctuations in weight can also affect your gum tissue. This means that, with time and circumstance, your dentures may loosen or you may experience sore areas and/or tenderness.

A denture reline is a simple and affordable procedure that reshapes the underside of a denture to make it fit better against your gums. Relines transfer what your tissues look like when the impression is taken. This helps to tighten the denture if any loose areas or spaces are present. Relines can be “soft” or “hard,” and can be completed at our on-site denture lab, usually the same day.

If you’re experiencing any discomfort or rocking with your dentures, ask us about a possible reline.

At Gulfside Dental our patients comfort and convenience come first, which is why we're the preferred Naples dentist. With our on-site denture lab we can usually do all repairs and relines the very same day. Call us at Gulfside Dental 239-774-3017 to see if we can help.
