Denture Studio

If you’ve lost teeth from decay, injury or periodontal (gum) disease, dentures are one of the solutions. Whether you need partial, full or custom dentures, they’re essential not only to improve the look of your smile, but also your oral health. In addition to allowing you to eat as if you had never lost your teeth, dentures also protect against facial sagging that would otherwise occur & cause a more aged appearance. Dentures can also improve your speech. Denture maintenance combined with a regular regimen of proper brushing & flossing as well as checkups with our dentists can guarantee you’ll lead a more comfortable, healthy life. Please call Gulfside Dental today to discuss with a dentist if dentures are the right option for you!

Our team of trained lab techs help you achieve a smile you can be proud of. We offer a variety of options for our patients!

Partial Dentures:

Partial dentures are used to replace teeth missing from an arch. A partial denture is a versatile part of dentistry and is utilized depending on the teeth that need to be replaced and the teeth that are still present. At Gulfside Dental, there are three types of these dentures. The temporary partial denture, used when a patient needs a placeholder tooth for healing. The cast metal partial denture, an easily adjustable denture supported by your remaining teeth. The third partial denture is a flexible partial denture, they show no metal and create less strain on the remaining teeth than other types of partial dentures.

Complete Dentures:

The last option for restoring your teeth. A full denture is a piece of plastic that remains in your mouth, fitting over the remaining tissue. To some, full dentures feel bulky and may reduce sensitivity to taste as well as causing excess saliva. Speaking to one of our Naples dentists about a change to chewing patterns and neuromuscular control after receiving an upper and lower denture is the only true way to keep the lower denture in place. Healing is required between dental extractions and the creation of your permanent dentures. In some instances, a temporary denture may be used until healing is finished.

Implant Supported Dentures:

Sometimes there is not sufficient bone or saliva to help a denture stay in place, patients have a difficult time chewing because of the changed motion of chewing or they might have difficulty with gagging. In these cases, implants are a wonderful addition to dentures. Implants help to stabilize the denture. This makes it much easier to chew with dentures! Currently the standard of care set by the American Dental Association for lower full dentures is retention through implants.
